Delete your SnapTrac data

SnapTrac stores your receipts on your device, not on a server. There is no account, no login, and no cloud copy of your data. That changes how deletion works compared to a typical app — but it also makes deletion faster and more complete.

You have three independent ways to delete data, depending on what you want gone.

Delete every receipt without uninstalling

Open SnapTrac and go to Settings → Delete All Data. Confirm the prompt.

This wipes every receipt photo in Documents/receipts/, the local SQLite database (every parsed merchant, total, tax, date, category, business, and note), and your saved categories, businesses, and webhook URLs. It runs entirely on your device and completes in under a second.

The app stays installed so you can keep using it from a clean state.

Uninstall the app

Long-press the SnapTrac icon and choose Uninstall (Android) or Delete App (iOS). Your operating system removes the entire SnapTrac sandbox: all receipts, the database, preferences, and cached data. Nothing is left behind on your device.

Because we never had a copy of your receipts on a server, there is nothing to clean up beyond your device.

Cancel your subscription

Cancelling SnapTrac Pro is a separate action from deleting receipts — you can do either, both, or neither. Apple and Google control the subscription; we do not.

  • iOS: Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → SnapTrac → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SnapTrac → Cancel.

You keep Pro features through the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.

What about the anonymous analytics?

If you had analytics or crash reports enabled, our processors (PostHog and Sentry) may still hold a small amount of anonymous, UUID-tagged event and crash data. None of it contains your receipts, your name, or any contact information.

To request deletion of that residual data, email support@shadowkidsstudios.com with the subject "SnapTrac privacy" and include the anonymous ID shown in Settings → About → Privacy → "Show my anonymous ID". Capture this before you uninstall, or it is no longer recoverable. We will forward the request to the appropriate processor.
